The Hoopa Valley Tribe and the Hoopa Valley Public Utilities
District; Notice of Petition for Declaratory Order
Take notice that on September 28, 2020, pursuant to Rule 207(a)(2)
of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (Commission) Rules of
Practice and Procedure, 18 CFR 385.207 (2019), The Hoopa Valley Tribe
(HVT) and its wholly-owned entity The Hoopa Valley Public Utilities
District (HVPUD) (Petitioner) hereby submits a petition for declaratory
order (Petition) requesting that the Commission issue a declaratory
order finding that HVT and HVPUD are public utilities that are exempt
under section 201(f) of Part II of the Federal Power Act,\1\ as more
fully explained in the petition.
